It's Christmas again!

Yes, it's another Christmas coming! Time really flies, the yearly company Christmas gifts exchange is around the corner. So I made this bracelet for a purpose, with hope to make a different from the routine gifts like mug (no! enough of mug!), photo frame, chocolate, soft toy, candle stand, burner, towel, even underwear...

To the person who drawn this gift, I hope you like it.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all !

Transforming a necklace to bracelet

Visited the new weekend Ibiza Bazaar @ IOI Boulevard last Sunday. It is a new flea market at Puchong Jaya open on Friday night and afternoon till evening on Saturday and Sunday. Only a few stores but I managed to get something cheap and nice.

It was a gold chain with a alphabet "S" pendant. "S" for Song, my friend who celebrating her birthday in May. As a beading maniac, of course I will not give away such a simple birthday gift without adding "a personal touch" :-) Actually, I bought it only because of the pendant.

So, I decided to transform it to a bracelet and the "S" as a charm; added in a silver chain and some pink colour pearls to make it more interesting. Glad to see the silver and gold chains blended well.

The result? You judge it with these pictures....

A nice gift has to go with presentable packaging....
- a blue colour paper, fold half and cut to shape
- a little red beg (from a wedding dinner I attended; was filled with chocolates as door gift for every guests)
- a special sticker from my auntie in London (She print all sorts of labels!).

I hope Song like her birthday gift :-)

Creative Bazaar

Today I received an invitation to participant in a creative bazaar. I feel so glad that craft bazaar is getting more popular in Malaysia :-) Bazaars and art markets not only create platforms to share creativity and exchange ideas but also encourage new born artists and gather more handcraft lovers. Such a great mission! and for this event, it carries a 2nd agenda - Charity. Yes, we need more care and love around us!

C + C Campaign has a meaningful tagline "Be creative to charity, be charity to creativity!"

This campaign starts a new creative platform for Malaysian youths to have a truly creative space to display and share their creative ideas and designs. Whether it is a little creative household supply, a work of art or even a picture which worth a thousand words, C + C will be the creative platform, where artists like us can certainly liberate and express our creativity.

Bazaar’s Date: 17th (Sat) and 18th (Sun) July, 2010
Venue: Boulevard (ground floor), Berjaya Time Square, K.L.(main street on the main entrance)
Time: 10am to 9pm

Be it as an visitor or if I could find to time to participant, really can't wait to be at the bazaar!

See you guys there!

p/s : wish there will be beads and handmade jewelry exhibition soon like what Singapore and Australia are having every year :-)

Bookmarks by Khong Heng

Visited a beads shop at Petaling Street last Saturday. Many attractive new arrivals!

I got a few bookmarks from Melbourne last year at AUD2 each, now we have it in Malaysia :-) and it is cheaper! Wholesale price is about RM3 each depending on design and quality.

So special, my dear friend wanted to start reading books again so that she can put them to good use... and show off her craft!

Merry Christmas

Tried out this snow flakes design last night, it so beautiful ! The original Swarovski crystal beads really shine nicely.... although I might not pictured it well, hehe!

I have blue in front and shining transparent beads on the rear side.

There is a star in the middle and another 6 stars surrounding it, maybe I should give this pendant a chinese name...
七星伴月? 七星(熊)仔? 嘻嘻 !

My little teddy bear like it, hope you like the pendant too :-) Will see who's the lucky friend gets this as Christmas gift....

Merry Christmas
&
Happy New Year to all !
